Dangerous Goods Licence/Refresher

Subjects:

  • Responsibilities in an emergency
  • Respiration protection and clothing

Course Duration: 2 days - initial, 1 day - refresher
On-site: Minimum of 10 people required for on-site training.
Included: Manual
Minimum number/group: 1 Person
Accreditation Certificate: Certificate of Competence. Certificate supplied. Application form to apply for Department of Minerals and Energy to be registered and licensed.
Note: Refresher training required every 3 years

  • Accepting a hazardous shipment

Course Duration: 3 days - initial, 1 day - refresher
On-site: Minimum of 4 people required for on-site training.
Minimum number/group: 1 Person
Accreditation Certificate: Accredited Certificate on completion and registered with IATA for two years.
Note: Valid for 2 years only.
Cost: On application.
Handling and Storage Dangerous Goods

Subjects:
Level 1

  • Identification and classification
  • Types of storage depots
  • Responsibilities in an Emergency Response Plan
  • Practical fire fighting exercise
  • Respiratory protection

Level 2 - Certificate (level 1 plus)

  • Hazards to your industry
  • Emergency response plan
  • Use of extinguishers
  • First Aid

Course Duration: Level 1 - 1 day. Level 2 - 2 days
On-site: Minimum of 6 people required for on-site training.
Minimum number/group: 6 People
Accreditation Certificate: Certificate of competency issued on successful completion.
